I don't think you understood what I mean... you just looked at your site in Internet Explorer didn't you? If you take another look at it in Firefox or Opera you will see exactly what I mean... The alignment on the bottom part of your header is shifted about 75-100px to the right... of the rest of the header image, on the other pages it is still shifted but thee is now a blank space between your links and the bottom part of the header image.

Check out the attached images and you will see what I mean.

Woah, I see what you mean... I'm not exactly sure what's causing that...

Thats what I was trying to tell you, in the first page there is the following bit of code:

<tr>
   <td>
   <p align="center">
   <img border="0" src="../titlep4.jpg" width="980" height="29"></td>
</tr>

I think you should get rid of the alignment tag, it might help you sort out the problem with the alignment of the bottom image, as for the black space in the middle I am not sure why its even doing that... I compared the coding for the two different pages and I don't see and differences in those tables so it really should not be doing what its doing, the only thing I did notice was your header coding, they aren't the same so that might be a place to start... I'd suggest changing the second (sub pages) to match the information in the top of the main one, that might solve your problem. I think it might have something to do with the charset in there...the one on the main page is windows-1252 and the one on the subpages is iso-8859-1... that might be the problem.

Its too bad that you didn't try out the php header and footer trick I suggested for the layout, it would have made updating those errors ALOT easier for you in the long run... hope you can figure out what the problem is...

One other little suggestion, always take a look at your site in more than one browser... some display things differently than others so it helps to check it out and see what other people are going to see.

I fixed it atleast on the main page, I will go through the others and fix them soon. The reason why I didn't do the php trick, is that my knowledge of php is terrible, and I wanted to work with something I really know. I will check and see if it works in multiple browsers, my monitor resolution is at 1152 by 864, and I use IE.

It's alive!

Basically nice work on the new title page, although the extent of graphics could be overall smaller.

I would tone down the background graphics of the table for better readability. And perhaps turn the side view horizontal. I feel like tilting my head looking at it.

There are also still a few alignment problems.

Yep, it's back Bernd. Ok, you mean the title graphics?.

I'll tone down the backgrounds more then, and I guess I can replace the side view with a front view.

And what type of alignment problems?

I didn't check the code, but the background images exceed the right table frames.

Nice to see your site is up. Nice to see you added a banner from my website. I've all ready added your site to mine.
How is the work with the website going. I haven't seen any update since it got online. Busy with big things, or just no time. It's very important to keep updating if you want to attract visitors, especially when you're just started.

Your homepage is not inline with all your sub-pages. Your sub-pages look the same, and that;s good. As all ready mentioned an alignment problem. Good luck with creating your website and own style. If you need any help. Just let me know. I'll see what I can do.

Well after nearly 4 months and after the death of my host, SE is reborn as Semper Exploro Phase II, with a new updated layout, some new content and tested on different computers and different browsers, the Phase II is so much better than the old SE.  http://www.semper-exploro.org

Nice.  Clear, sharp, and to the point.  I like it.
The one thing that sort of sticks out for me, is the white text over the blueprints clashes a bit for me.  I like the blueprint backgrounds, but you might want to think about another color for the text so that it doesn't clash....though it could just be me.  It's not bad or eye grating by any means, but was the first thing I noticed.

Thank you everyone, I hope to keep this encarnation of SE to last.
To Nemesis: Thanks for the positive feedback, and your welcome on the Banner. Oh and the banner you have on your site is outdated since the revamp, here is the new one: http://www.semper-exploro.org/banners/banner-468x60.jpg
To Jimi: Thanks again for the positive feedback. For the text color, I guess I could, but I planned the main color scheme of the site to be blue, white and black, but also I cannot think of another color to make the text other than the white.

Good to see your site back!

I like the new logo. It is quite large though, and takes up most of the screen.

The schematics as table backgrounds look nice, but the vertical orientation makes me want to tilt my head.

Thanks Bernd. Yes I know, I've been slowly making the banner smaller and smaller. Also I might change the verticle table schematics, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do that yet, I need to experiment with that a bit.

The horizontal version is generally better - as I don't feel like tilting my head. You'd only need to reduce the contrast to be able to read the text (and, if you want everything to be correct, I'd make all schematics the same scale).

Yes, better. Although it could have still less contrast.

Yes, better. But now the proportions of the saucer in the top view are not correct. Smiley
