I'm still willing to serve as a judge. Have yet to fully decide if I'll actually be entering the competition though.

I am a big person so a small 200 m will not give me room to move around in so I'll stick to 2000m or bigger.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

How about run off between 2000 meters and 200 Meters?  Which ever wins, that will be the one.

Is there really a need for a runoff vote?  Although it was a five way race, the 200m ship took it handily and beat out 2000m by nearly a 2-to-1 margin.

I agree with Broken Subspace Scene.  While a smaller ship isn't what I would have preferred, (I voted for the Federation Outpost) there is a clear and obvious winner.  If the vote had been closer, like ten to nine in favor of the smaller ship, or even closer between three choices, then a runoff might be warranted.  That isn't the case here however.  A winner has been chosen.  Let's move on.

First of all, With the confirmation of WhiteWolf, That brings us to three judges including myself. So, We still have an alternate judge postion available. The alternate judge would step in only if one of the other judges or myself could not fulfil the role of CMP judge/evaluator.

BorgMan, Greg, WhiteWolf, My sincere thanks to you all for stepping up to the challenge.

Regarding a run-off, Had there not been such a wide margin between the 200 meter choice and the 2000 meter choice, then a runoff might have been warranted, but in this case, the 200 meter vessel was by far the clear winner. However, if you still wish to design a 2000 plus meter vessel, then go ahead......perhaps your 200 meter vessel might be a shuttle, scout, or some part of the larger vessel. What do I mean, let's use the Borg Cube/Borg Sphere as an example. The Sphere can be either part of the larger cube or operate on it's own. Perhaps your 200 meter ship might work the same way.

Since the official competition has not started yet.........technically, there is no CMP underway......so, until we offically have a CMP.....no CMP thread as of yet.

Well lets just keep that one on tap for the next competition... the fact is that a sub 200m ship was chosen this time so lets just get on with it, and Rick you have your four Judges...

We might as well just get started, if it comes down to still requiring another judge in the end then I will step in and fill that role... but only if needed as I will be participating in this comp...

So since everyone is already chomping at the bit why dont we just get this bad boy underway. The reasons in your other post really dont make a whole lot of sense, I mean the weather getting colder and school.... not a whole lot is going to change in the next two weeks in those regards....

Ok Mak, Thanks for stepping in to the alternate role.

Now that we have the three main CMP judges - Greg, BorgMan, WhiteWolf, Mak as alternate judge, and myself to evaluate main CMP judge entries. Mak, unless you step in as alternate, your entry will be evaluated by the main CMP judges as would mine.

SO, all that remains is to secure the details of some type of prize, award, or trophy of some sort for the winner of the comp. Once the details of that are secured......then I'll open the official CMP thread and the comp can begin.

Next to what everybody said, I suspect you fail to see the point of a poll. If you see somethign in the advice of Rick, do something with it, but if you don't want to design a -200 meter ship and instead enter the CMP with the 2000+ ship, we'll reserve the right to delete your admission as you simply don't adhere to the rules laid down for this current competition. This is not to threaten you, only to warn you...

Rick, don't wait with starting. Bernd and I will figure out an SCN specific price. Something of a banner or so, we'll sort it out Smiley

While there may have been more challenging competitions, I appreciate the outcome of the vote nonetheless. It is of common interest, and may give us many entries to marvel at.
