You and I must really think alike, because I had a ship in mind like that just a few days ago, after seeing XFozzboute's work on the Kelvin.  I was even thinking of a way to integrate the main components like that. Cool

Nice job so far.

Funny thing this is the second intergrated desgin i have done there is a thread with a ship called ANZAC somewhere, i just like the idea of intergrating everything together which is good IMO.

I did a similar Kelvinesque design a little back, but I don't know anymore what my inspiration was. Anyway, nice start Smiley

Good start. But I'd need to see another view because currently it's not clear whether it is a ship with a fat belly or with two nacelles on the ventral side.

Hi guys here are the Specs and a top view

Class: Gorgon
Type:  Heavy Escort/Frigate
Length:  195 Meters
Width: 90 Meters
Commissioned: 2382
Speed: Cruise Warp 7.5, Max 9.5 Max Rated 9.8 12 hours
Armament:  8 Type X Phasers  1 Quantum Torpedo Turret with access to 80 Torpedoes and one aft Burst fire launcher with access to 60 Torpedos
Defence: Enhanced Shields and Ablative Armour

The USS Gorgon was built in 2382, after the return of the USS Voyager. Her design profile is similar to the Defiant class; she is a fast ship, designed to handle nearly anything: reconnaissance, patrol duty, Scout missions and escort work.
The Gorgon class is designed to complement the Defiant and Prometheus class; Her offensive, defensive, and intelligence equipment is extensive as well. 8 Type-X phaser strips allow for full coverage of the ship's area: the ship can fire in literally any direction. A quantum torpedo turret in the ventral sensor dome area, similar to that of a Sovereign class vessel, can fire up to 120 torpedoes per minute, and draws from its own magazine of 80 quantum torpedoes. The vessel boasts an additional aft burst fire launcher with access to 60 Torpedoes

In addition to a enhanced shield array using technology from the USS Voyagers return and also information gathered from the Dommion war.  The gorgon boasts an 8cm-thick Ablative hull armour. This armour is based on the USS Voyagers experimental deployable armour. This armour brought back by the crew is currently being tested on other ships but it has been found the ability to modify ships with this is a task that SCE has been struggling with they have found only a few ships have been able to have this armour fitted so to provide all the fleet an equivalent protection the latest Ablative armour use a none deployable version of this

Thought the gorgon has been designed as a defence orientated ship she also has been designed for other missions. The intelligence-gathering equipment starts with a Starfleet-standard (state-of-the-art) communications and sensor package and goes from there. A dedicated sensor array on the saucer front, similar to those on the Nova and Intrepid classes, provide a powerful aid to understanding planets and interspatial phenomena. Three specialized science labs, in addition to an Astrometrics lab.

To allow the 120 crew members some comfort there are two Small Holodecks as well as a Mess and recreation area. The crew has a high level of comfort for a small ship as only the most basic ranks have to share a room. There are two Small Cargo bays which are designed to carry supplies or they can be reconfigured to other use if there is a need.
Because of the Gorgons unique design a vertical warp core is not feasible so a horizontal one is used this has allowed the use of a larger core than the seven decks would normally support. The core is based on the type used in the Defiant class but with modifications and redesigns from the design crew at Utopia Plantia. These modifications have increased the power output by 25% and increased the service life.

The ship also carry two type 20 Shuttles and 2 type 17 shuttle pods.

aps a stupid idea, but why not move the bussard collector to that spot right in front of the nacelle windows? Means you've got more space left in the saucer to do stuff...

True i would have and i did serioulsly consider it but i thought this looked a bit better than a large collector below the Torpedo turret. but i may work up an image and see what it comes out like anyho, just to see,

I see. I may have expected two nacelles, but this is an interesting concept.

Thanks i kinda wanted a single nacel design as i just think they are very overlooked as i can only think of three ships that have one warp nacel

Great work!  (Me likey horizontal warp core!)  Just out of curiosity, when you couldn't upload the file, was it over 300 KB in size?  IIRC that's the file size limit for uploading files.
