Web Browsers, please read and comment.
« on: April 19, 2010, 12:06:43 AM »
Basically there have been a couple glitches with various forum features (namely chat) that seem to revolve around what browser you are using. So this is just an information gathering thread and I would appreciate if everyone that uses the forum would please post in it, if you are using a browser that is not listed then please let me know.

Firefox pretty much exclusively since not long after I joined here and got convinced to try it. Otherwise I use most of the ones listed in the poll as backups if I need 'em.

I'm using Firefox right now.  I used chrome on my old laptop because it ran much faster on the slower system, though it seemed to glitch when loading images on multiple tabs.  Aside from that small problem though, it was pretty good.  I haven't tried it on my new desktop to see if it was Chrome itself or my slow laptop that was the problem.  I assume it was the latter.

Internet Explorer 8, latest updates.

Chrome 4.1.249.1045, latest version.

I've also tried the Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview and had zero issues.

Firefox with the latest updates.

The only issues I've noticed have been dealing with chat; mainly a connection error occassionally.

I use Seamonkey (http://www.seamonkey-project.org/) and K-meleon (http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/).
Since both use the Geko engine, I guess you should count them together with FFox.

Also, remember that Chrome and Safari both use the webkit engine. You will probably want to count them together.

I've been using Chrome since it came out. Never had problems with SCN other than it being a bit slow at times, like today.

The main problem I am trying to track down us the chat bug... basically the connection error and being timed out faster than one would like. So far most of the problems tend to be with Firefox, I'm using Safari and notice no problems with it at all.
