Independence Day Resurgence

How excited is everyone to see IDR? With only a week away I'm stoked! Looks like it's going to be even bigger and badder than the first movie.

I wouldn't exactly say I'm excited.  I do plan on seeing it in a theater rather than waiting for it to come out on DVD.  I remember being liking the very first trailer that came out, if only because I didn't know anything about the movie at the time.

Let's just put it this way, I saw the first one in the theater.

About the only thing that ticks me off about this one is the recast on former president Whitmore's daughter.

Im excited.
“The boat dipped and swayed and sometimes took on water, but it did not sink; the two brothers had waterproofed it well. I do not know where it finally fetched up, if it ever did; perhaps it reached the sea and sails there forever, like a magic boat in a fairytale. All I know is that it was still afloat and still running on the breast of the flood when it passed the incorporated town limits of Derry, Maine, and there it passes out of this tale forever.” ― Stephen King, It"

I just came back from it. They can't approve the sequel fast enough. Is it up to par with the first one? Not quite, but they still need to make the next one now.

I loved it. I agree that it wasn't up to par with the original movie. And it definitely showed that some of it wasn't fleshed out well (story and plot) and was rushed. Definitely a third movie is needed at this point! The ID4 & IDR universe just got some life.

I could see the next one filling in some of those gaps.
