“The boat dipped and swayed and sometimes took on water, but it did not sink; the two brothers had waterproofed it well. I do not know where it finally fetched up, if it ever did; perhaps it reached the sea and sails there forever, like a magic boat in a fairytale. All I know is that it was still afloat and still running on the breast of the flood when it passed the incorporated town limits of Derry, Maine, and there it passes out of this tale forever.” ― Stephen King, It"

Blows the dust off of this old account.

Blows more dust off of this thread.

I'm wondering how the devil I'm still the 6th most prolific poster on the forum, too. :D

Because none of the rest of us used the "set post count" command.

In all seriousness though, glad to see you drop in.

Was odd seeing you as the most recent poster in a thread, I don't come around here very often myself but I do drop in from time to time.

Also see that you shaved your head, good for you. What prompted that life choice?

A couple of reasons. I'd been considering it for a while as my hairline lost its battle against genetics and my ponytail was looking increasingly dumb. On top of that, my first girlfriend (who I am still extremely close to; she's basically like my sister now) was diagnosed with cancer in August and had to shave her hair in September. She was pretty shaken by it, so that finally galvanized me into doing it so that she could have someone to "compare notes" with on the feeling of lack of hair.

Picture attached for reference.

My hair is a tad longer than that now; my wife prefers it close cut rather than gone, so I keep it closely shaved.

That right there is why I don't shave my head.
